विषय: स्वास्थ्यबीमा परामर्शसमिति का गठन

Re: Constitution of Health Insurance Advisory Committee

1. भारतमें स्वास्थ्यबीमा का पिछलेवर्षों मेंकाफी विकासहुआ है और आनेवाले वर्षोंमें इसके जारीरहने कीउम्मीद है।बीमा उद्योगसमाज की आवश्यकताओंको पूरा करनेके लिएविभिन्नउत्पाद/सेवाएँपेश कर रहा है औरनियमित रूप सेअभिनव उत्पादऔर सेवाएँ भीला रहा हैं।

Health Insurance in India has grown significantly in recent yearsand is expected to continue in the coming years. Insurance Industry is offeringvarious products/services to cater to the needs of the society and alsobringing in innovative products/services regularly.

2. आईआरडीएआईने स्वास्थ्यबीमा उद्योगके व्यवस्थितविकास कोसुनिश्चितकरने के लिएस्वास्थ्यबीमा प्रणालीकी दक्षताओंको सुधारनेऔर पॉलिसीधारकों केहितों कीरक्षा करने, जैसेविभिन्न कदमउठाये हैं।

IRDAI has taken various steps to ensure orderly growth of theHealth Insurance Industry, improving efficiencies of health insurance systemand protect the interests of the policyholders.

3. इसपृष्ठभूमिमेंप्राधिकरण कोविभिन्न पहलुओंपर परामर्शदेने के लिएनिम्नलिखितसदस्यों सहितविशेषाज्ञोंकी एक समितिका गठन करनेका निर्णयकिया गया है:

In this background, it is decided to constitute a committee ofexperts to advise the Authority on various aspects with the following Members:

   i.डॉ.नचिकेत मोर, पीएचडी, अतिथिवैज्ञानिक, दबनियन एकेडमीऑफ लीडरशिप इनमेंटल हेल्थ

4. अध्यक्ष, आईआरडीएआई, इससमिति केअध्यक्षहोंगे औरसदस्य (गैर-जीवन) समितिके उपाध्यक्षहोंगे।

Chairperson, IRDAI shall be Chairperson of the Committee andMember (Non-Life) shall be Vice Chairperson of the Committee.

5. समितिके विचारार्थविषय होंगे:

  Terms of reference for the Committee shall be:

i. भारतीयसमाज की ज़रूरतोंकी आलोक में, देशमेंस्वास्थ्यबीमा उत्पादोंकी उपलब्धताकी जाँच करनाऔर उपयुक्तउत्पाद एवंक्रियाविधियोंकी अनुशंसा करना।   

To examinethe availability of the health insurance products in the country in the lightof the need of the Indian Society and recommend suitable products and processes.

ii. विशिष्टरोग याकार्यक्षेत्र(उदाहरणहृदय रोगविज्ञान) केकवरेज केसंबंध मेंसुझाव देना। 

Tosuggest approach on coverage of specific disease or an area of practice (e.gcardiology)

iii. पॉलिसीधारकोंके हितों केरक्षार्थ, पॉलिसीकी शर्तों कीदृष्टि सेवर्तमानस्वास्थ्यबीमा उत्पाद-संरचनाकी जाँच करना।   

Toexamine the extant health insurance product structure in terms of policy conditionsto protect the interest of the policyholders.

 iv.स्वास्थ्यबीमा कीसुगमता मेंसुधार करने केलिए उपचारप्रोटोकाल (नवाचार) यादर-ढाँचे के संबंधमें रणनीतिविकसित करना।  

Todevelop strategy on treatment protocol or rate structure to improveaffordability of health insurance.

   v. स्वास्थ्यबीमा क्षेत्रसे संबंधितकिसी अन्यमामले की जाँचकरना।

Toexamine any other matter relevant to health insurance sector.

6. समितिजब भी आवश्यकहै बैठक करसकती है औरउठाये गयेविशिष्टमुद्दों केसंबंध मेंअपनी पृथकअनुशंसाएँप्रस्तुत करसकती है।

The Committee may meet as often as needed and may submit separaterecommendations on specific issues taken up.

7. समितिका कार्यकालएक वर्ष होगा।

   The tenure of the Committee will be one year.

8. इसे सक्षमप्राधिकारीकी स्वीकृतिहै। 

   This has the approval of the CompetentAuthority.
