Master Circular: Unclaimed Amounts of Policyholders

प्राधिकरणने समय-समयपरपॉलिसीधारकोंकी अदावी राशिके संबंध मेंविभिन्ननिर्देश जारीकिए हैं। ऐसेसभीनिर्देशों कोसमेकित कियागया था औरदिनांक 25जुलाई, 2017 केमास्टरपरिपत्र केरूप में जारी कियागया था।

The Authority has issued various directions regarding theUnclaimed Amounts of Policyholders from time to time. All such directions wereconsolidated and issued in the form of a Master Circular dt. 25^th July,2017.

सभीबीमाकर्ताओंजिनके पास 30सितंबर तक 10 सालसे अधिक कीअवधि के लिएपॉलिसीधारकोंकी अदावी राशिहोती है, उसे वित्तीयवर्ष के 1 मार्चतक या उससे पूर्व,इसे वरिष्ठनागरिककल्याण कोष (एससीडब्ल्यूएफ)में अंतरणकरना होता है। बीमाकर्ताओंको अदावी राशिको भारत सरकारके निर्धारितखाते में अंतरणके लिए दिनांक21.12.2017 की अधिसूचना(संलग्नप्रति) मेंविस्तृत रूपसे दी गईलेखांकनप्रक्रिया का अनुपालनकरना आवश्यकहोगा। पॉलिसीधारकोंकी अदावी राशिके अंतरण केसंबंध मेंप्रत्येकवित्तीय वर्षमें एससीडब्ल्यूएफनियम, 2016 (प्रतिसंलग्न) मेंनिर्धारितप्रक्रिया कापालन कियाजाएगा।

All insurers having unclaimed amounts of policyholders for aperiod of more than 10 years as on 30^th September, every yearhave to transfer the same to the Senior Citizens’ Welfare Fund (SCWF) on orbefore 1^st March of the financial year. Insurers need to followthe accounting procedure as detailed in the notification dt. 21.12.2017 (copyenclosed) to transfer the unclaimed amounts to the designated account of theGovt of India. Every financial year the process laid down in the SCWF Rules,2016 (copy enclosed) shall be followed as regards transfer of the unclaimedamounts of policyholders.

मास्टरपरिपत्र (संस्करण02) में दिए गएनिर्देश कोएतद् द्वाराअद्यतीत कियाजा रहा है जोकि विशेष रूपसे निगरानी,रिपोर्टिंगऔर अदावी राशिके प्रमाण सेसंबंधित है।मास्टर परिपत्र,प्राधिकरणद्वारा इसविषय पर जारी विभिन्नपरिपत्रों केसाथ-साथएससीडब्ल्यूएफअधिनियम औरउसके तहतअधिसूचितनियमों को ध्यानमें रखते हुएअनुपालन मेंअभिसरण भी प्रदानकरता है।

The directions in the Master Circular (Ver 02) are hereby beingupdated, more particularly, with regard to the monitoring, reporting andcertification of unclaimed amounts. The Master Circular also provides forconvergence in compliance taking into account various circulars issued by theAuthority on the subject as well as the SCWF Act and the Rules notifiedthereunder.
