Re: Filing of “ArogyaSanjeevani Policy” as group health insurance product

1.   “स्वास्थ्यबीमाउत्पादों के मानकीकरणके संबंध मेंमास्टरपरिपत्र” केअनुच्छेद 3 कीधारा 8 (संदर्भ आईआरडीएआई/एचएलटी/आरईजी/सीआईआर/193/07/2020 दिनांकित 22.07.2020) कीओर संदर्भआकर्षित कियाजाता है, जिसकेद्वारा सभीसाधारण औरस्वास्थ्यबीमा कंपनियों(बीमाकर्ताओं)के लिए “आरोग्यसंजीवनी पालिसी~~मानकवैयक्तिकस्वास्थ्यबीमा उत्पादपेश करनाअनिवार्यकिया गया था।

Referenceis drawn to Clause 8 of Section 3 of “Master Circular on Standardization ofHealth Insurance Products” (Ref: IRDAI/HLT/REG/CIR/193/07/2020 dated22.07.2020) vide which all the general and health insurance companies(insurers) were mandated to offer standard individual health insurance product,“Arogya Sanjeevani Policy”.

2.    उपरोक्तदिशा-निर्देशोंमें आंशिकसंशोधन के साथबीमाकर्ताओंकोएतद्द्वाराअनुमति दीजाती है कि वे इसउत्पाद को, यहाँनीचेउल्लिखितमानदण्डों काविधिवत पालनकरते हुए समूहउत्पाद के रूपमें भीप्रस्तुत करसकते हैं।

Inpartial modification of the above referred guidelines, Insurers are herebyallowed to offer this product also as a group product by duly complying withthe norms specified hereunder.

क.    बीमाकर्ताओंको अनुमति दीजाती है कि वेसमूह पालिसीके लिए “समूह~~शब्द जोड़करमानक उत्पादके नाम काइस्तेमाल करसकते हैंबशर्ते,प्रीमियम दरऔर समूह पॉलिसीकोसंचालित करनेवाले विशिष्टविवरणों को छोड़कर, मानकवैयक्तिकपालिसी के लिएलागू सभी नियमव शर्तेंअपरिवर्तितरहती हैं। 

a.    Insurersare allowed to use the standard product name for the group policy after addingthe word “group” provided all terms and conditions as applicable to thestandard individual policy remain the same except premium rate andspecification on operation of group policy. 

ख.    बीमाकर्ताओंको अनुमति दीजाती है कि वेबोर्ड द्वारास्वीकृतजोखिमांकननीति के अधीनइससमूह पालिसीके अन्तर्गतअपनी न्यूनतमऔर अधिकतमसीमायें तयकरें। रु.50,000(पचासहजार रुपयेमात्र) के गुणकोंमेंबीमाकृत राशिपेश करने कीशर्त इस समूहउत्पाद केलिए अनिवार्यनहीं है।

b.    Insurersare allowed to set their own minimum and maximum sum limits under this grouppolicy, subject to the board approved underwriting policy. The mandate ofoffering sum insured in multiples of Rs 50000 (Rupees fifty thousand only) isnot insisted for the group product.

ग.    बीमाकर्ता,आईआरडीएआई(स्वास्थ्यबीमा) विनियम, 2016और उसकेअन्तर्गतअधिसूचितदिशा-निर्देशोंमें उल्लिखितमानदण्डों का अनुपालनकरने की शर्तपर,प्रस्तावितकवर को ध्यानमें रखते हुए कीमतनिर्धारितकरेंगे।

c.    Theinsurers shall determine the price keeping in view the cover proposed to beoffered subject to complying with the norms specified in the IRDAI (Health Insurance)Regulations, 2016 and Guidelines notified there under.

घ.    “स्वास्थ्यबीमा व्यापारमें उत्पादफाइलिंगसंबंधीसमेकितदिशा-निर्देशों~~ (संदर्भ: आईआरडीए/एचएलटी/आरईजी/सीआईआर/194/07/2020 दिनांकित 22 जुलाई, 2020) केअध्याय IV मेंउल्लिखितमानदण्डों काविधिवत पालनकरते हुए,उपयोग और फाइलआधार परउत्पाद फाइलकिये जाएँगे।

d.    Theproduct shall be filed on Use and File basis by duly complying with the normsspecified in Chapter IV of “consolidated guidelines on product filing in healthinsurance business” (Ref: IRDA/HLT/REG/CIR/194/07/2020 dated 22^nd July,2020)

ङ.    यहसमूह उत्पाद, “स्वास्थ्यबीमा व्यापारमें उत्पादफाइलिंग केसंबंध मेंसमेकितदिशा-निर्देशों” (आईआरडीए/एचएलटी/आरईजी/सीआईआर/194/07/2020 दिनांकित 22 जुलाई, 2020) केअन्तर्गतनिर्धारितसभी अन्यप्रयोज्य मानदण्डोंका पालनकरेगा।

e.    Thisgroup product shall comply with all other applicable norms stipulated under“consolidated guidelines on Product filing in Health Insurance business”(IRDA/HLT/REG/CIR/194/07/2020 dated 22^nd July, 2020).

 3.   इसेसक्षमप्राधिकारीका अनुमोदनप्राप्त है।

   This has the approval of the competent Authority.
