IRDAI (Registration of Insurance Marketing Firm) Regulations, 2015 (IMF Regulations) were notified on 21^st January, 2015. Pursuant to these regulations, we have received feedback and recommendations on various aspects from the stakeholders and insurers. The authority has examined the requests; recommendations received over the period of time and issued clarifications by way of circulars.

To give effect to such circulars and other issues related to regulatory framework, it is proposed to amend the IMF Regulations. Accordingly, an exposure draft on IRDAI (Registration of Insurance Marketing Firm) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2016 is proposed and is attached herewith as Exhibit-I seeking comments from all concerned.

Therefore, all the stakeholders are requested to review the attached exposure draft and forward their views / comments in the format provided as Exhibit-II by 3^rd October 2016 to the following address:
