Content Contribution, Moderation & Approval Policy (CMAP)
Content needs to be contributed by the authorized Content Managers of IRDAI in a consistent fashion to maintain uniformity and to bring in standardization along with associated metadata and keywords. In order to present the content as per the requirement of the viewer, organize the content in categorized manner and to retrieve the relevant content efficiently, it is required to contribute the content to the website through a Content Management System which would be web-based having user-friendly interface.
The content on the portal goes through the entire life-cycle process of:-

Once the content is contributed it needs to be moderated and approved prior to being published on the Website. The moderation could be one level/ multilevel and is role based. If the content is rejected at any level then it is reverted back to the originator of the content for modification.

IRDAI does not object to you linking directly to the information that is hosted on this site and no prior permission is required for the same. This information is only used to help us make the site more useful for you. With this data, we learn about the number of visitors to our site and the types of technology our visitors use. IRDAI makes no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of individuals visiting our site unless an attempt to damage the site has been detected.
Content Review Policy(CRP)
All possible efforts will be taken to keep the content on the Website current and up-to-date. This Content Review Policy defines the roles and responsibilities of the website content review and the manner in which it will be carried out. Review Policies are defined for the diverse content elements.
The review Policy is based on different type of content elements, its validity and relevance as well as the archival policy.
The entire website content shall be reviewed by the respective IRDAI departments at least once in a month
Content Archival Policy(CAP)
The content components are created with metadata, source and validity date.
There would be some content which is permanent in nature and for such content it is assumed that the content would be reviewed every ten years unless it is edited / deleted based on requirement.
Some of the short lived content components like tenders, recruitment etc., which will not have any relevance on the website after the intended purpose is achieved shall not be displayed on the Website after the validity date and shall be moved to Archival section.
The content components like Board meeting minutes, Tenders, recruitment notifications, RTI disclosures, list of insurers, directory of employees, documents, circulars, guidelines, notices, notifications, reports, latest news etc. shall be regularly reviewed as per the Content Review Policy. If content is not relevant, then the content is archived and no longer displayed on the Website.

Website Monitoring policy
IRDAI will monitor the website periodically to address and fix the quality and compatibility issues namely, performance, functionality, broken links, traffic analysis and feedback from visitors.
Contingency Management plan
The IRDAI website endeavours to be functional and running at all times to provide information and services to the users. All possible efforts will be made to minimize the downtime of the website as and when required. In eventualities like defacement/hacking of the site, data corruption, hardware/software crash and natural disasters, all efforts will be made to restore the site in the shortest possible time.
